Meat-filled belyashi
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. Belyashi with meat — delicious fried buns with meat filling, cooked until golden brown. Belyashi are round in shape and can be either solid or have a small "window" through which the meat filling is visible. My recipe. Can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Grind the pork in advance using a meat grinder, and chop the onion using the same meat grinder or a blender.
- 2
Step 2

For the filling, mix the minced meat, onion, a little salt and pepper. Mix well and set aside to wait for its turn.
- 3
Step 3

Meanwhile, prepare the dough. Dissolve the baking soda in the kefir and let it sit for a couple of minutes. When bubbles appear on the surface, add the egg and a little salt (about ½ tsp). Mix thoroughly until smooth.
- 4
Step 4

Add the flour. The ingredients list indicates an approximate amount of flour; you may need more or less depending on the thickness of the kefir and the size of the egg.
- 5
Step 5

Knead a soft dough, divide it into 8-10 pieces.
- 6
Step 6

Roll out each piece into a flatbread shape, place the filling in the center, then fold and seal the edges.
- 7
Step 7

Turn the pie upside down so that the edges don't come apart while frying.
- 8
Step 8

Fry the belyashi in well-heated sunflower oil over low heat for 5-7 minutes on each side.
- 9
Step 9

The meat-filled belyashi are ready. Serve them warm. Enjoy your meal!
