
Belgian waffles with blueberry sauce
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. This recipe yields about 10 waffles. Serve them for breakfast with bananas, maple syrup, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla yogurt. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.

1. Place the yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar into a bowl. Add 1/2 cup of warm water. Stir and let stand until foam forms, about 8 minutes.

2. Add milk, butter, and flour, then beat until smooth. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise overnight at room temperature (for slightly tangy waffles) or in the refrigerator (for sweet waffles).

3. In the morning, preheat the oven to 93 degrees and place 6 plates on a baking sheet. Preheat the waffle iron. Add eggs, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract to the batter, and whisk until smooth.

4. Spray the waffle iron with oil. Pour 3/4 to 1 cup of batter onto the hot waffle iron.

5. Cook until the waffle is nicely browned, 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer the cooked waffle to a plate on a baking sheet in the oven. Repeat with the remaining batter.

6. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon. Heat the blueberries in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the sugar, a little water, and cornstarch. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. This takes less than 10 minutes.
