
Basic pizza dough
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. The key to preparing yeast dough is allowing it to rise several times, while carefully folding it to keep it light and soft. Also note that after mixing, the dough should be slightly sticky to the touch and yet quite elastic—this is achieved by gradually adding flour. You can add olive or any other vegetable oil to the dough; it won't diminish the taste of the baked goods. This dough can be used not only for pizza but also for baguettes, buns, and pastries. See below for details. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

1. Add sugar to warm water, crumble in the pressed yeast, and stir until completely dissolved. Add the sifted flour, reserving 1/6 of it.

2. Knead an elastic and slightly sticky dough. Add salt and vegetable oil, then knead the dough for 10 minutes. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest at room temperature for 1 hour.

3. On a generously floured surface, stretch the dough into a rectangle, fold it into thirds, then fold it into thirds again. Cover the dough with a bowl and let it rest in a warm place for 15–20 minutes.

4. Then repeat the folding procedure. The finished dough can be stored in the refrigerator.
