
Bath buns
Description
You can make these buns plain or with a filling—for example with raisins, dried apricots, or walnuts. It is best to serve them at the table once they have cooled. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Prepare the ingredients.

Crack the egg into a bowl, add salt and sugar, and mix.

Pour in warm milk, water, and melted butter.

Add dry yeast and mix.

Add top-grade flour.

Knead the dough.

Leave it for an hour in a warm place, covering the bowl with plastic wrap.

Punch down the risen dough, place it on a silicone mat, and roll it out into a rectangular sheet.

Fold one edge toward the centre, then the other. Cut the resulting roll into pieces.

Place the buns on the baking sheet.

Pour the remaining milk into the saucepan and add the sugar. Bring the glaze to a boil.

Brush the buns with milk glaze. You can also sprinkle sugar on top.
