Baton in a bread maker
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. How delicious it is to spread a slice of fresh, crispy baguette with butter in the morning and eat it with a cup of strong tea or coffee... Unfortunately, store-bought bread isn't always tasty, so whenever possible I prefer to bake my own baguette at home—especially since I have a bread machine. You'll learn how to make a baguette in a bread machine at home from this recipe: A couple of hours before starting, take the butter out of the refrigerator or melt it in the microwave. Warm the water to room temperature (or slightly warmer). In a small bowl, mix the yeast, salt, sugar, and pour in the water. Pour this mixture into the bread machine container. Sift the flour over the top and add the melted butter. Select the "Dough" program. Once the dough is ready, transfer it into the bread machine pan and shape it into a loaf. Make diagonal slashes on the surface and let it rise until doubled in size. Brush with egg yolk and place back into the bread machine—select the "Basic" program. Choose your preferred crust color and thickness. When the ready signal sounds, remove the loaf and, while still hot, brush it with vegetable oil. Cover with a clean towel. Try not to eat it all before the next morning. If it doesn't turn out—just load a new batch of ingredients into the machine ;) Serve cooled or slightly warm.
