Sesame loaf
Description
Perfect with tea and coffee. One of the important points in making the loaf is combining the yeast mixture with the flour mixture. If this is difficult to do by hand, use a bread maker or a mixer with a dough hook attachment. The amount of sesame seeds can be increased or decreased to taste. Otherwise, the recipe is simple and accessible. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, sesame seeds, and warm milk. Mix lightly.
- 4
Step 4

Combine both parts. Add vegetable oil. Knead the dough.
- 5
Step 5

Knead the dough for 10 minutes. Then round it and place it in a bowl.
- 6
Step 6

Make a cross-shaped cut. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap, cover with a towel, and leave for 30 minutes. Then punch down the dough, shape it into a round, make another cross-shaped cut, and leave it for another 1 hour under the wrap.
- 7
Step 7

After the time has elapsed, the dough will noticeably increase in size. Punch it down.
- 8
Step 8

Transfer the dough to a work surface. Flatten it into a 1 cm thick sheet. Tucking in the edges of the dough, roll it up into a log.
- 9
Step 9

Seal the seam well. Turn it over and shape it into a loaf.
- 10
Step 10

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the prepared piece seam-side down. Leave for 30 minutes under a towel.
- 11
Step 11

Then make three deep cuts with a sharp knife or blade, brush with egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds (0.5 tbsp). Place in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25–30 minutes. Take into account the specifics of your oven!
- 12
Step 12

Remove the finished, golden-brown loaf from the oven. Transfer it to a board and let it cool.
- 13
Step 13

Serve the sesame loaf with your favorite dishes or drinks.
