Prepare the necessary ingredients.

In warm milk, dissolve the yeast and sugar. Leave in a warm place for 15–20 minutes.

Rinse the raisins and soak them in cold water.

After the allotted time has passed, add the egg to the yeast mixture and stir well.

Add some of the flour and stir with a spoon.

Pour in the remaining flour and add the vegetable oil. Mix with a spoon; when stirring becomes difficult, knead by hand.

The finished dough should be soft, pliable, and should not stick to your hands. Shape it into a ball. Transfer it to a bowl greased with oil. Cover with a towel and let rise for 1.5 hours in a warm place.

Transfer the dough to a work surface and roll it out to a thickness of 0.5 cm.

Transfer the future loaf onto a baking sheet lined with parchment. Make three diagonal slashes with a sharp knife. Cover with a towel. Leave for 1 hour to rise. Afterwards, brush with egg. Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20–25 minutes. Allow for how your oven behaves.

Spread the finished loaf with butter, cover it with cloth or paper, and leave it in the oven with the door open for half an hour. When the time is up, cool the loaf thoroughly and serve.
