Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients for making bread.
- 2
Step 2

First, mix the warm milk and dry yeast in a bowl. Cover with a clean towel and leave for 10–15 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

If a cap has formed on the surface, the yeast is active and you can start making the dough.
- 4
Step 4

Add sifted flour and salt to the sponge.
- 5
Step 5

Mix the dough with a spoon, pour in the vegetable oil.
- 6
Step 6

Knead soft, elastic dough. Place it in a bowl, cover, and leave it in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- 7
Step 7

After some time, the dough should increase in size by 2–3 times, as in the photo.
- 8
Step 8

Chill the dough, transfer it to a work surface, and roll it into an oval sheet. Brush the surface with soft butter.
- 9
Step 9

Roll the dough into a roll, cover with a clean towel, and leave for 20–30 minutes.
- 10
Step 10

During this time, the dough will rise.
- 11
Step 11

Make diagonal slashes on the surface of the bread. Brush with a small amount of milk or water and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
- 12
Step 12

Remove the finished milk loaf from the baking sheet and let it cool. Slice and serve with whatever you like.
