
Bashkir dumplings
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Bashkir dumplings can be steamed and served with meat broth, or simply boiled in a pot. To make the dumpling dough tender, roll it out to a thickness of 0.2–0.3 cm. The dumplings should be 4–5 cm in size. Serve hot.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Prepare the dumpling filling. Grind the potatoes and onion through a meat grinder using a fine plate. Combine the mixed filling, potatoes, and onion in a bowl.

Add soft butter, salt, pepper.

Mix and set aside while preparing the dumpling dough.

Prepare dumpling dough. In a bowl, mix water and egg. Aim for a total liquid and egg mass of 200 ml. Add salt. Mix well.

Add the flour.

Start mixing with a fork. Once the dough begins to clump together, knead it by hand. It should end up slightly firmer than regular dumpling dough.

Wrap the finished dough in a bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

After the time has elapsed, roll out the dough into a sheet 0.2–0.3 cm thick. Cut into squares with sides of 4–5 cm.

Place the prepared minced meat into squares.

Form the dumplings. Connect the opposite corners to create a triangle. Join the ends to form a dumpling with an elongated corner.
