1. Wash the lamb and cut it into pieces.

2. Place the meat in a saucepan, pour in milk until it completely covers all the pieces—about 1 liter—and simmer over medium heat for 1.5 hours.

3. While the meat is boiling, prepare the vegetables. Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes and carrots into large pieces.

4. Layer the potatoes and carrots in a roasting pan, then place the pre-cooked meat on top. Add spices, pepper, salt, and bay leaf.
