Description

This recipe won't take much time. Who doesn't enjoy a little outdoor celebration? Everything tastes more delicious and fragrant in nature, especially meat. I'm sure you've already cooked various kinds of shashlik, but today we're not talking about that. Instead, I'll show you how to prepare lamb wrapped in foil and cooked over hot coals. This is an extremely simple and tasty dish that requires no special skills or knowledge. You just need to marinate the meat, wrap it in foil, and place it into the hot coals for 30–40 minutes. With this easy recipe for lamb in foil over coals, you won't have to flip anything or worry about the meat burning. Simply enjoy the outdoors and wait for the delicious lamb to cook. Serve hot.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

First, we rinse the lamb and dry it thoroughly. Place the meat in a deep bowl or pot, add sliced onions, fresh herbs, pepper, and salt to taste. Mix everything well, then cover the bowl with a weight and let the lamb marinate for 2–3 hours. After that, place a skillet over high heat and heat it up. Remove the meat from the marinade (we will use the marinade later), and sear the meat on all sides until a golden-brown crust forms—this will take a few minutes.

    Step 2

Now we spread foil on the table and place the lamb on it.

Place the remaining marinade on top of the meat.

And wrap the lamb in several layers of foil so that the juice doesn't leak out during baking.

    Step 5

Place the meat in the barbecue and cover it with embers. The embers should not be too red; wait until the heat subsides slightly. Now you can forget about the lamb for 30-40 minutes.

After the time has elapsed, carefully remove the meat from the coals, unwrap the foil, and serve. The meat turns out incredibly juicy, tender, and soft—absolutely delicious. Enjoy your meal!
