
Banitsa with cottage cheese
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. Baked goods with cottage cheese turn out tasty and healthy, even children enjoy them, especially if you make the banitsa sweet, although for adults you can add a bit of salt and finely chopped dill or parsley to the cheese filling. Serve the dish either hot or cold — it's equally delicious. It can be served with tea or coffee.

Prepare the listed ingredients.

Place cottage cheese of any fat content into a deep bowl and mash it until no large lumps remain. Add sour cream of any fat content, reserving about 3-4 tablespoons for the topping. Add sugar, keeping 1 tablespoon for the topping. Add salt and break in the chicken eggs. Thoroughly mix the entire filling until it becomes almost uniform.

Place a sheet of lavash on the work surface, pour half of the filling onto it, spread it evenly, and roll it up tightly along the long side. In the same way, roll the second sheet of lavash with the remaining filling.

Grease a baking dish with butter and place the lavash rolls in it in a spiral shape. Mix the remaining sour cream with sugar and pour it over the top. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place the dish inside for 25 minutes. Bake until golden brown.

Remove the finished dish from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
