Bananas in the microwave
Description
This recipe won't take much time. I'd like to introduce you to a very original way of preparing bananas in the microwave! It's perfect when you unexpectedly find some overripe bananas in the fridge, or simply want to treat yourself or your guests to something delicious. The result is a slightly sweet dessert, ideal for coffee or unsweetened tea. Here's how to turn microwave bananas into a truly satisfying dessert, just like in top cafes and restaurants: 1. Wash each banana and, without peeling, cut it into 2 or 4 pieces to create little "boats," then place them on a microwave-safe dish. 2. Spread jam on top of each banana piece. I personally love the combination of tart cranberry jam with bananas, but feel free to experiment with your favorite flavors. 3. For this simple microwave banana recipe, separate the egg whites from the yolks and whisk the whites with sugar using a whisk until thick foam forms. Spoon this sweet foam over the banana pieces. 4. Now simply place the dish in the microwave and cook at full power for a couple of minutes. Once done, take it out, decorate as desired, and serve! I highly recommend serving this dessert with scoops of ice cream—it's a wonderful combination :) Enjoy! Serve chilled.
