Prepare all ingredients according to the list. Take the butter out ahead of time and let it come to room temperature. The banana should be ripe.

In a deep bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking soda. Add softened butter.

Rub with your hands until crumbly. Dissolve honey in warm water and add to the flour mixture.

Add a banana mashed with a fork. The riper the banana, the more aromatic the bake will be.
