
Banana syrup for cake
Description
For soaking, use ripe and aromatic bananas. If you don't have a blender, rub the bananas through a fine sieve, then mix with sugar syrup. If you use cane sugar, the soak will turn out darker with a light caramel aftertaste. This portion is enough for a cake 24–25 centimeters in diameter. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making banana syrup for the cake.

Pour sugar into a heavy-bottomed saucepan and add water. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil, then cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Peel the bananas and blend everything until smooth.

Combine the sugar syrup and banana puree. Blend once more until smooth and refrigerate for one hour.
