Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients right away.
- 2
Step 2

Rinse the dried apricots, place them in a bowl, and pour hot water over them. Let stand for 15 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Into a large bowl, sift the flour with baking powder, add salt and chilled butter cut into pieces.
- 4
Step 4

Crumble all these ingredients together with your hands into fine crumbs.
- 5
Step 5

Add sour cream.
- 6
Step 6

Knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands. If needed, sprinkle in a little more flour. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- 7
Step 7

Place the apricots and all the sugar in the chopper bowl.
- 8
Step 8

Run the device for 60 seconds, and you should end up with a smooth, evenly chopped mixture.
- 9
Step 9

Line the baking pan with parchment paper. Divide the dough into 2 parts; roll one part into a sheet and line the pan with it. Shape the pie crust with raised edges. Prick the dough all over with a fork.
- 10
Step 10

Spread all the dried-apricot filling in an even layer, smoothing it with a spoon.
- 11
Step 11

Roll out the second piece of dough as well and lay it over the filling, pressing the edges together with the base using your fingers. You can use any leftover dough to make decorations for the pie. Bake the balish in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 45 minutes.
- 12
Step 12

Let the finished balish cool slightly, then serve.
- 13
Step 13

Remove from the oven and serve warm or at room temperature.
