Sailor-style eggplants
Description
Eggplants are a very healthy vegetable, and most importantly, you can cook them with almost anything and in any way you like! Everyone has heard of "flotskaya" pasta (a traditional Russian dish of minced meat with pasta), but minced meat doesn't necessarily have to be paired with flour-based products. I'd like to share with you this simple recipe for "Eggplant po-flotski" (Eggplant "Navy-style"). This dish is filling yet light, and thanks to the combination of meat and vegetables, it's also nutritious. You can use any type of meat for preparing Eggplant po-flotski. I usually make it with turkey—it's especially tender. Check out the detailed recipe with photos and memorize it.

Cover with a lid and simmer until fully cooked. That's it! Our sailor-style eggplants are ready. Serve them with a side of mashed potatoes, or even without any side dish at all. )
