Badam Burfi
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Unfortunately, I've never been to India, but I've long known about this delicacy and have already experimented with its ingredients. I've added not only almonds, but also walnuts, hazelnuts, and cashews. Each time it turned out incredibly delicious. But today I'd like to share the classic recipe. Serve it chilled.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can peel the almonds by pouring boiling water over them and leaving for 30 minutes, but I usually don't peel them, as it doesn't really affect the taste.

Step 2

Grind the almonds together with milk and sugar in a blender until the nuts turn into fine crumbs.

Step 3

In a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the butter, add the mixture from the blender, and simmer over low heat until thickened (about 10 minutes).

Step 4

The mixture will darken slightly and become viscous.

Step 5

Place this mixture onto a sheet of parchment paper folded in half, shaping it into a circle about 5-6 mm thick. Leave it to cool completely, then refrigerate for 1 hour. My dessert usually sets in just 30-40 minutes. I don't wait until the mixture becomes completely firm—I can't resist, it just makes my mouth water too much :)
