Instructions

Step 1

From warm milk, sugar, salt, yeast and 1.5 cups of flour we make a sponge. When the sponge rises, add vegetable oil and the remaining flour. Knead a soft dough, one that does not stick to the hands. Let it proof for 25–30 minutes in a warm place. Lightly toast the nuts (almonds, cashews, peanuts, walnuts) and grind them in a coffee grinder). When the dough rises 2–3 times, roll it out into a sheet, brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with ground nuts. You can add a little sugar or sugar with cinnamon.

Step 2

You can sprinkle poppy seeds on top or together with the nuts. Roll into a log.

Step 3

We roll the roll into a ring, make transverse cuts, leaving about 1.5 cm uncut at the end. Then we start folding the pieces of the roll as follows: one slice inward, two outward, turning them slightly so that they lie horizontally. Continue this way to the end.

Step 4

When the roll is fully rolled up, place it in a warm spot to rise, covering it with a towel.
- 5
Step 5

After the final rise, the roll doubles in size. Brush it with beaten egg and place it in the oven, having first lined the baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 6

After baking, cover with a towel for 10-15 minutes..
