Step 1

1. Heat water in a saucepan to a temperature of 80 degrees. Grind the malt using a blender, place it into a gauze bag, cover with a lid, and simmer for 90 minutes, maintaining the temperature at around 70 degrees.

2. Next, perform the iodine test: mix a drop of wort on a plate with iodine; if the mixture turns blue, continue boiling for another 15–20 minutes at the same temperature. Then quickly increase the temperature to 90 degrees and boil for another 5–7 minutes, after which remove the bag.

Step 3

3. Bring the pot contents to a boil once again, adding the first portion of hops—in our case, 15 grams. After 30 minutes of vigorous boiling, add the next 15 grams, and after another 40 minutes, add the remaining 15 grams of hops. Boil for an additional 20 minutes.

Step 4

4. Next, the beer must be rapidly cooled to a temperature of 24 degrees. For this, a previously filled bathtub with cold water will work well. Then, transfer the liquid into a fermentation vessel and add the yeast diluted according to the package instructions. Keep the beer in the vessel under an airlock for about ten days at room temperature—25 degrees. When the beer stops producing bubbles, bottle it, adding 8 grams of sugar per liter of beer into each bottle. Seal the bottles with caps and let them stand for 17 days in a dark room at 20 degrees. Shake the bottles well once a week.

Step 5

5. That's it! The beer should preferably be strained before serving, then well chilled, poured into glasses, and enjoyed!
