Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Place the butter in a skillet and melt, then add the breadcrumbs, stir, and fry until golden brown.
- 2
Step 2
Add the chopped nuts (I used hazelnuts) to the pan, heat for a couple of minutes, then remove from heat.
- 3
Step 3
Wash the apples, peel them, then cut in half and remove the seeds. Chop the apples and drizzle with lemon juice to prevent browning. Add cinnamon, sugar, cloves, and raisins.
- 4
Step 4
Roll out the puff pastry sheet very thinly and place it on parchment paper. Put the prepared nuts with breadcrumbs and spread them in the center of the dough.
- 5
Step 5
Place the prepared apples on the nuts. Brush the remaining dough (without breadcrumbs) with beaten egg on both sides. Fold the sides into the center and brush the strudel with egg.
- 6
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40-50 minutes, possibly a little less, until a golden crust forms.
- 7
Step 7
Remove the ready strudel and sprinkle it with powdered sugar. Serve the dish hot or cooled.
