Aromatic turkey rolls with potato kugel
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Tender turkey pairs perfectly with potato as a side dish. Prepare it as a casserole together with the turkey in a multicooker. It's convenient and easy. Serve the finished dish at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Rub a tablespoon of dried Italian herbs in your palms. Add dry wine, honey, freshly ground mixed peppers, season with a little salt, and mix well. Let it sit for a while.
- 2
Step 2

Make a cut down to the bone on the shank, trim around it, and remove the meat from the bone. Using a small thin knife, remove the tendons. Don't be too thorough about scraping off the meat—just leave them for the broth. Rub the turkey pieces well with marinade and roll them into rolls. Refrigerate overnight.
- 3
Step 3

Pound the marinated pieces through plastic wrap to even out the thickness.
- 4
Step 4

Wrap strips of processed cheese in the meat. Tie the resulting rolls with kitchen twine. I secured them with toothpicks, but found this to be insufficient.
- 5
Step 5

Sear the rolls on all sides in "Frying" mode until browned, carefully turning them over. Remove to a plate.
- 6
Step 6

Thinly slice the potatoes. Use a food processor or mandoline to make the slices as thin and even as possible. Add the chopped onion, grated cheese, and the second spoonful of dried herbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and beat in two eggs into the potato mixture.
- 7
Step 7

Mix well and transfer the potato mixture to the multicooker bowl. Place the rolls on top and bake in "Baking" mode for one hour.
- 8
Step 8

Take out the rolls and remove the strings from them.
- 9
Step 9

Place the potato kugel on a serving dish and arrange the rolls on top. Serve with fresh herbs, salad, or pickled vegetables.
