Peanut Chocolate Cake
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. In a large bowl, combine butter and brown sugar, add eggs, chocolate, and vanilla. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt, then add to the butter mixture alternately with sour cream. Gradually beat in water. Pour the batter into two greased and floured round baking pans. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes. Let cool in the pans for 10 minutes. For the frosting: beat butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth; set aside. Cut each cake layer in half horizontally. Place the bottom layer on a serving plate; spread frosting between layers, stacking them one on top of another. Spread frosting over the top and sides of the cake. Sprinkle with peanuts. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
