Prepare the ingredients.

Pour the sifted flour into a bowl for kneading the dough.

Add salt, sugar, and yeast.

Make a well in the flour mixture, pour warm water and olive oil into it.

Knead a soft and elastic dough, kneading for 5–7 minutes. Shape it into a ball, cover with a cloth or lid, and leave it to ferment for 1 hour.

After an hour, the dough had increased in size by at least 2 times.

Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces, shape each piece into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and leave to proof for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, roll each ball of dough into a flatbread about 12 centimeters in diameter.

Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet and preheat the oven to 220 degrees. Bake the pita for 10 minutes.
