Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. It is best to use classic black tea, but you can replace the rum with brandy or cognac if desired.
- 2
Step 2

Blanch the orange with boiling water and slice it, removing the seeds. Optionally, you can grate the zest and squeeze the juice from the fruit if you prefer not to have fruit pieces in your drink. Place the sliced fruit into a saucepan and pour in hot water. Add lemon slices as well.

Step 3

Place the container on the stove and boil for about 3 minutes after boiling to allow the orange slices to infuse the liquid with their flavor and aroma. Add the black tea bags.

Step 4

Simmer the drink on the stove for another minute, then turn off the heat. Cool it down to 80 degrees and pour in the cognac or brandy. Choose a high-quality alcohol to avoid any unpleasant aftertaste once the punch is tasted.

Step 5

When the drink cools to 40 degrees, stir in floral honey and add a pinch of ground cinnamon—optional. Honey can be replaced with granulated sugar if you have an allergy to honey.

Step 6

Pour the warm orange punch into glasses or cups and serve.
