Orange semolina cake with poppy seeds and dried cranberries
Description
The baking is simple and quick. The orange for this semolina cake should be washed thoroughly using a brush with soap. The tenderness of the cake depends on the type of semolina. The finer it is, the more tender the cake will be. I do not recommend omitting baking soda or leavening agent; both are needed in this recipe. The cake can also be made with lemon, but then you need to increase the amount of sugar. If you don’t like poppy seeds, you can leave them out, and replace the cranberries with dried cherries or raisins. Serve it cooled or slightly warm.
