Orange Doughnuts
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Would any of you really refuse delicious and aromatic homemade baked goods, even if they're these fried doughnuts? I don't think so! After all, we don't eat such "unhealthy food" three times a day, or even every week :) So let's treat ourselves and make something tasty for tea. The recipe is not complicated, everything is very simple. The baked goods are ready. Serve them at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. In warm milk, mix dry yeast with a teaspoon of sugar and let it sit for about 10 minutes, allowing the yeast to "activate" and rise into a foamy layer.
- 2
Step 2

2. For donuts, it's best to choose thin-skinned oranges. Wash the orange thoroughly, cut it in half, and make sure there are no seeds. If there are any, remove them. Then blend the orange into a puree using a blender.
- 3
Step 3

3. In a bowl, mix the sieved cottage cheese, egg, regular and vanilla sugar, salt, and chopped orange.
- 4
Step 4

4. Add the yeast solution and mix.
- 5
Step 5

5. Add the flour. Knead a soft dough that sticks to your hands. For convenience, grease your hands with vegetable oil. Let the dough sit in a warm place for 30–40 minutes to rise.
- 6
Step 6

6. Grease the table and hands with vegetable oil, place the dough, and flatten it with your hands into a layer about 1 cm thick. Use a glass to cut out circles. I made the holes in the circles with my finger—it's more convenient :)
- 7
Step 7

7. Heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat and fry the doughnuts.
- 8
Step 8

8. Fry until golden brown. In any case, it's worth trying the first batch to check if they are cooked through inside, and adjust the heat accordingly by lowering or increasing the flame.
- 9
Step 9

9. Place the finished doughnuts on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- 10
Step 10

10. Sprinkle the cooled doughnuts with powdered sugar.
- 11
Step 11

11. This is what they look like inside: fluffy, soft, with small pieces of orange, and very delicious.
