Step 11

Place on a clean, floured surface and sprinkle a little flour on the dough.

Step 12

Knead the dough by hand (3-5 minutes) and set aside for 5 minutes to let the dough rest.
- 13
Step 13

Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 0.5 cm.
- 14
Step 14

Cut out circles from the dough using a cutter or some jar.
- 15
Step 15

Place them on a baking sheet and cover with a dry towel so they can rise. Usually, they are left overnight to be ready for breakfast. It is sufficient to wait until they double in size. Usually, this depends on the surrounding conditions.

Step 16

Remove the towel and prepare the pan for frying.
- 17
Step 17

Sprinkle the surface of the skillet with cornmeal and start cooking.
- 18
Step 18

Sear on each side until browned (about 7 minutes per side). Then set aside to cool (on a rack).

Step 19

Split the buns in half and let them cool in the refrigerator (you can even use the freezer).
- 20
Step 20

After the buns have cooled, you can fill them. What to fill them with depends on your imagination.
