4. Transfer to a saucepan, dilute the purée with the water left after boiling the cherry plums, or simply with boiling water. The consistency should be like sour cream. Bring to a boil over low heat, then simmer for another 15 minutes.

5. Transfer into prepared sterile jars and close with lids. After cooling, store in the refrigerator. Serve with fish and meat.
