Yogurt sauce
Description
One variation of the "Tartar" sauce based on yogurt includes adding sesame seeds. They should first be dry-roasted in a pan without oil and then mixed into the sauce. Tartar sauce is used not only with hot meat and fish dishes, but also complements cold and hot appetizers and salads perfectly. It pairs ideally with pasta, meat, and vegetables.

Step 1

Place two eggs in a pot and boil them hard. When they are cooked, separate the yolks. We will need only the yolks. Put Greek yogurt into a bowl and add two pinches of salt.

Step 2

Wash and thoroughly dry the dill and parsley. Finely chop the herbs. Also chop the pickled cucumber, add it to the herbs, and mix in your favorite spices. These can be any dry aromatic and spicy herbs, as well as nutmeg.

Step 3

Mash the egg yolks thoroughly with a fork until you get a smooth puree. Then add the herbs, cucumbers, and spices to the yogurt. Add the yolk mixture to the same bowl. Mix everything well.

Step 4

Let the finished sauce sit for a few hours in a cool place. This will allow it to absorb the flavors of the herbs and spices. Then pour the sauce into serving dishes and serve.
