I think a modern homemaker can find a way out of any situation, even the most hopeless one—especially if she has this simple quick cookie recipe up her sleeve. There was a time when my oven wasn't completely broken, but still impossible to cook in, and that's when I discovered this wonderful little recipe. I made these treats right away, and I must say, the cookies turned out amazing. Of course, baking in an oven produces better results, but nevertheless, everyone found them delicious. So if your oven ever breaks down, or you just want to quickly whip up a treat for the whole family, simply prepare these quick homemade sweet cookies—everyone will be delighted. Serve with tea or coffee.

First, we sift the flour into a deep bowl.

Then add softened butter, cut into pieces, to it.

Thoroughly rub the flour with the butter into crumbs.

Add powdered sugar to this mixture.

Then add cinnamon and baking powder.

Place the egg in a separate container, beat it, then mix in water and vegetable oil, and add salt. Gradually pour this mixture into the bowl with flour and other ingredients, mixing to form a dough. The dough should turn out thick and elastic.

Place the dough on a floured flat surface and roll it out into a sheet. Use special cutters or a simple glass to cut out shapes from the dough.
